A common question is “What is the difference between Gelato and Ice-Cream?” Here are the facts:

Gelato is an Italian version of ice-cream, but with significantly less butterfat than ice-cream’s typical 18-26 percent. On the contrary, it doesn’t mean less taste. With the lower butterfat content, Gelato contains a creamier texture and is delightfully delicious with each bite!

Gelato has a much higher density than ice cream. Ice cream contains cream, milk and sugar, then air is added which doubles the quantity of product. Quality is then compromised. Gelato contains less air and the result produces a higher quality, richer, and creamier taste.

Gelato is served at a slightly warmer temperature  than ice cream. Gelato is typically stored 10 to 15 degrees warmer than ice-cream
